Designing within Brand Guidelines
During my time working for Kent County Council (Mar 1999- Apr 2011) I did anything from small scale event posters to large scale banners. I often designed high profile reports, improved copy and provided images and documents for the Libraries & Archives section of the KCC website.
I gave advice and basic training to Library staff on how to create posters within the branding and disability discrimination act guidelines. I had the responsibility of checking all these before they went on display as well.
I was part of the Communications Team for Libraries & Archives, so I also got involved in marketing. |
![]() These are the Libraries & Archives connect strips. This page style was developed for us in 2006. I could only use Arial and the layout is quite strict. This meant I was creatively restricted but there are always ways to work within the rules. |
